Post by Firedragon » Yes I deleted the database and the left over program folder before I did a cleanup of the registry, so I was sure that I would get a clean install. You need to run commands in a PowerShell window with admin priviledges. If you are okay doing that, check out the second post in this discussion:. It is necessary to first run the command to make the list of packages and then get the proper full name because at least the Mail and Calendar app changes the name slightly from build to build, eg.
The Name of the package you need to remove is " microsoft. Look a few lines below the Name for the PackageFullName to use to remove the package. It should look something like this without the quotes :. Once you have removed the package you can go to the Store, search for "Mail and Calendar" and the Install button should be active to reinstall them. I hope you have better luck than I did.
After removing and reinstalling them the sync is still not working for any of my email accounts. This is not working for me. I have a surface pro 3 and I run the command in powershell. Additionally, is there a way to reset the list of acounts in Mail? It seems that the config is corrupted as it is not providing me with the possibility to edit the accounts settings and consequently I can't remove them.
