If they won't remove, or still pop up, try this toclean up the remnants - note that with Windows Installer Cleanup you should ONLY remove the Sonic entries you don't want. After spending two days on trying to get the EMC 9 software installed with several hours on the phone with Tech Support, I finally got the installation to complete. I have run all the hot fixes that are available, don't have any idea as to how to find and delete the previous version as I have already previously cleared my drives of anything and everything that had to do with Roxio or Sonic.
The Tech Rep I was on the phone with today said that he had exhausted all that he had knowledge of and would turn the ticket over to Tech Support.
