In this setting, pediatric residents will develop a strong foundation in pediatrics with skills to manage a robust medical home focusing on nutrition, well-being, mental health, coordination of care, and preventive care.

Close-knit teams allow direct resident-attending interactions, and residents provide the first line of care for pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.

In addition, collaboration with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship will strengthen resident's confidence in assessing and managing common mental health issues that take place in pediatric offices. Once July hit, I realized that I had found a truly unique environment--one that challenges us every day to be better pediatricians while supporting us personally and professionally. While Dr. Wallihan and our Associate Program Directors are brilliant enough to present at national conferences, they're also easy to chat with over coffee--and would for any of us at the drop of a hat. I love food and our foodie scene is also fantastic with so many unique restaurants to go to, I am still discovering new places to try!
