Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other agencies, assures coordination of services, and increases public awareness and support.

Conducts outreach to increase public awareness and support for specialized program area. Conducts research required in planning and evaluating the program. Develops and ensures uniform interpretation of program policy and procedures.

Directs and reviews work assignments. Establishes program goals, strategies and priorities. Monitors area and local services for compliance and quality assurance. Oversees the program planning development and evaluation activities representing various program specialties. Provide programmatic guidance to state, field, or vendor staff.

Provides technical assistance in designing and implementing pre and post release programs. Responds accurately and promptly to informational requests regarding programs, services and related issues.

Takes a lead role in state-level planning, development, implementation, and management of program, policies and procedures Why You Should Apply?

As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable on the job training and experience related to your field while pursuing your education. Internship can be seasonal spring, summer, fall or year round. At the successful conclusion of this program, you may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a federal career or career conditional position.

Interns may work full-time or part-time schedules. Temporary appointments may be extended without further competition.
